The boys varsity golf team scored a 329 in the 2019 Ranger Invitational. Leading at the helm was senior Justin Turner, who scored a 78 and has been crucial for the Rangers’ success. Ahead of FHC were rival schools FHN and FHE, who have been dominant in many of the tournaments.

Despite the bad weather, the Rangers put up an impressive score against some of the most talented teams in the area. Behind Justin was sophomore captain Isaiah Huempfner, who shot an 81. Isaiah has been leading the team thus far and will need to continue it in order to help the Rangers in the future. Right behind them were freshman Joe Murdock and senior Bradey Hamill, who both finished with an 85. The Rangers needed all the help they could get, as sophomore Cam David and junior John Corey helped out, shooting a 94 and 95, respectively.

This was a tough match for the Rangers, for the weather was working against them and everyone else. The boys will be back on Monday, May 6 in a Jamboree at Cedar Springs.
