The seasons of my love

The+seasons+of+my+love

I love the winter; although I hate the cold, it reminds me of you.

I never liked the snowy season; I would wait for it to end. I longed for the sunshine and the flowers until I met you.

January rolls around, and I am reminded how much I adore you. Our best memories and moments are held within the months of winter, no matter how bad or good. These are times spent inside, watching movies and TV shows for hours, engulfed in one another’s presence.

The cold, wet snow that would fall used to bring me sadness, but now I can roll around in it for hours just because I’m doing it with you. The cold doesn’t exist when I’m in your arms; you don’t let it.

Like the falling snow in the winter, autumn leaves fall into perfect little piles on the ground.

Although it is the busiest time of the year, you always make room for the dramatics of my life.

I constantly make you go homecoming dress shopping with me; even though I never fail to pick the exact opposite of what you think I should, I love having you by my side.

You go along with my obsession with matching Halloween costumes, even though you could not care less about it, just because you know how happy it makes me.

You come with me to parks because I always want to admire the yellow leaves of the season, even when I complain about the cold air and the distance of walking.

I longed for the sunshine and the flowers until I met you.

I still love the sunshine and flowers, however.

Whenever spring comes around, you take me to the gardens. You follow me around while I admire every plant that comes into my line of sight. You always make sure I get to see the butterflies when they come into season because you know just how much they mean to me.

Even during the rainy days, you make sure we have something to do whether that is going to a museum or just staying in and playing games. It means the world that you make the best out of the worst situations.

The transition from spring to summer is another favorite of mine.

You bring me to beaches because you know how much I love the water. You bring me to amusement parks even though I’m horrified by everything.

Summer is the only time we can focus on each other; you take advantage of those three months. You take me to fun places and have us do all these fun things; I cherish the moments when it’s just the two of us together.

I have had the opportunity to spend almost two years with you, and I would never have it any other way. You have always made sure every season of my life, both mentally and physically, is filled with the most cherishable memories.
