Preview of Tonight’s Two Big Ten Games:

Jacob: 6 Michigan State @ Illinois

Michigan State is on the road Monday night against the Fighting Illini of Illinois. The Spartans are coming off a win on Friday night against the Nebraska Cornhuskers which involved a new dark uniform which helped create a fresh and new start for the Spartans following their 2 losses in previous weeks. The Spartans play on Friday was definitely a great sight to see, 5 players scored in double figures throughout the game and they played very well defensively but still had 13 turnovers which is to many for a championship team to have. The Illini are coming off of a loss on Friday against the Wisconsin Badgers 75-50. Wisconsin is 10-10 overall, so the loss to them by 25 proves that Illinois is definitely not a threat to the Spartans. MSU will be in hostile territory, but I think if they get off to a quick start in transition and don’t turn the ball over to much they can take the wild Illini out of the game.

Score Prediction: MSU: 78 Illinois: 52

Nick: Nebraska @ 13 Ohio State:

Ohio State is 1st in the Big Ten with a big ten record of (8-0). Overall on the year they are 17-4 with losses to Clemson, Gonzaga, Butler and North Carolina. Nebraska on the other hand is 4th in the big ten with a record of (5-3) in conference record. Nebraska has an overall record of (14-7). They have losses to Saint Johns, UCF, MSU, Creighton, Purdue, Kansas and Penn State. Tonight’s game is in Columbus at Value City Arena. Ohio State will win this game because it is a home game and they have more talent.

Score Prediction: Ohio State: 77 Nebraska: 63
