The girls varsity golf team finished up its season in the two-day State Tournament at Michigan State University Friday and Saturday. After 36 holes of play, FHC earned seventh place overall with a team score of 733.

Juniors Mandy Ehrlich and Ally Ringler, low scorers all season for the Rangers, performed extremely well this weekend and led the team to its top-ten finish. Mandy shot a 170 over two days, while Ally was close behind with a 171. Seniors Haley Hamill and Kayley Reynolds were also very close to one another in their play. Haley earned a 195 in the tournament, with Kayley right behind with a 197.

The Lady Rangers battled through cold temperatures and rain, as well as many disruptions due to weather delays. Considering the unfavorable conditions and high pressure in the State Tournament, the team is pleased with its performance and fulfilled a season-long goal in qualifying for and placing in this all-important outing.
