JV softball dominates over GR Christian

The JV softball team came out hot in its second outing of the season with offense firing on all cylinders. With 15-0 and 17-2 mercies over Grand Rapids Christian, the Rangers improve to 4-0 on the season – all of which have been mercies.

FHN freshman Faith Addington took the mound for game one. She faced only 13 batters in the 3 inning game, striking out 5 while only allowing 1 hit. FHC sophomore Caitlin Snyder was in the circle for game two where she faced 19, struck out 4, and gave up 5 hits.

The Ranger offense was hot with the bats, with players throughout the lineup contributing to the high-scoring wins. Caitlin went 3-6 on the night with a blast to left-center field for a 2-run home run. FHC sophomore Jordyn Carlson was also 4-5 with 2 doubles, and freshman Bela Gonzalez had a big base-clearing triple to drive in 3 runs.

The Rangers will host Northview for a doubleheader on Monday, April 23. Right now FHC is 2-0 in the conference and will look to remain undefeated to clinch back to back OK White conference titles.
