Forest Hills Central Rangers 4-2 (1-0) at Greenville Yellow Jackets 4-1 (0-2):

Everything you need to know about Greenville:

Greenville is coming off of four straight losses after winning its first matchup of the year against Belding. The Jackets have had two losses by 20 plus points in the conference already, one coming to Cedar Springs and another to FHN. With a first-year head coach, Greenville has already seen their roadblocks and is still trying to find their stride as a team.

The upside to this 1-4 team is their varsity experience in the lineup. Greenville has a three-year starter in forward, Gavin Cossou. The big fella is active around the rim and will be a force underneath the basket. He also has the rare ability to shoot a three. They also have three very effective shooters from beyond the arc and presented Belding with major defensive issues in game one of their season.

The Yellow Jackets like to move from a man pressure defense from half court to a 1-2-2 zone as the offense settles in. On the offensive end of the court, you’ll see quick passing and high ball screens at the top of the key. They also are not afraid to pull the trigger and throw shots up from beyond the arc. This could lead to a high scoring game if it’s a hot night.

Score Prediction: Rangers 75-Yellow Jackets 53

Why:

With FHC beating one of the best teams in the OK white by 35 on Tuesday night, it’s hard to refrain from picking them again in a huge manner. This team looked completely different against the Wildcats of Northview and presented challenges in all facets of the game. FHC will again dominate and take advantage of Greenville’s willingness to shoot.

Look out for the senior trio, Ty George, Ryan Dunn, and Andrew Tebeau, to come up with 45 points between the three of them. Sophomores Mitch Wilkinson and Jimmy Scholler will also continue the trend of their success and have big games in the assist and rebounds columns.
