Varsity baseball takes 5-2 win over Wyoming

Varsity baseball hosted Wyoming last night for a non-conference game and came out on top 5-2.

Junior Kyle Wojczynski had a sac fly in the second inning to score a run for FHC, along with junior Joe Szczepanek and senior Miko Rodriguez who each had an RBI as well. Wyoming made 3 errors in the field, allowing FHC to score 5 runs on 9 hits. The Rangers were aggressive on the basepaths, moving runners into scoring position with 4 stolen bases.

Joe and junior Adam Tellier each went 2-3, along with senior Michael Peliotis who had multiple hits, a triple, and scored 2 runs.

Senior Johnny Irish took the mound for the Rangers to allow only 2 hits and 1 earned run. He also struck out 11 while walking 2. Johnny had solid defensive efforts behind him, as FHC had only 1 error in last night’s game.

FHC moves to 12-4 (11-3) as they go on the road tomorrow looking to finish the conference sweep of Ottawa Hills.
