How long have you been playing tennis?

“I’ve been playing tennis for six years now, since the summer after my sixth grade year.”

Why do you play tennis?

“For me playing tennis both competitively during the fall and non-competitively during the off-season is really fun. Hitting the ball is just a huge stress reliever for me and takes my mind off any stress.”

What is the biggest inspiration in your tennis career?

“My biggest inspiration is representing my school and the FHC tennis program while doing something I love.”

What is your personal goal for the season?

“My personal goal is to win conferences and regionals. The key [will be] playing more aggressive at the net and making more overheads and volleys.”

Talk a little about your time being apart of FHC tennis team, this year and previous years.

“Being on the FHC JV tennis team the first three years and the varsity team this year has been a blast for me, not only because of the tennis I’ve played, but also the people and friends I’ve made over the past three years. The best part of being apart of the tennis team is the camaraderie and representing your school.”

What is a quote that inspires you?

“Tennis is mostly mental. Of course, you must have a lot of physical skill but you can’t play tennis well and not be a good thinker. You win or lose the match before you even go out there.”- Venus Williams
