Who has been the biggest inspiration in your tennis career?

“My dad has been my greatest inspiration because he played on his tennis team in high school and he has been [practicing] with me ever since I was little.”

What is your personal goal for this season? 

“My goal is to win more games than I lose this season, and the key to that is a lot of practice.”

Talk a little about your time being a part of the FHC tennis team this year and previous years.

“This is my first time on the varsity team, but I was on the JV team as a freshman and a sophomore. The best part has definitely been the interaction with my teammates. Many of the people who are on the team today are the same people I have been playing with since seventh grade. Tennis is also a very individual sport, especially when it comes to singles, but you are still a part of a team and get to watch and cheer on your teammates.”

What is the best part about playing tennis?

“The best part about playing tennis is the fact that it is a very individual sport but you still get to be part of a team. You are able to watch yourself become better as a player and you can still cheer on your teammates and watch them play.”
