Gigi Sinicrope

Gigi Sinicrope, Staff Writer

Gigi is beginning her second year of writing for The Central Trend as a junior this year, and she is starting to fear she will run out of things to say. Her full name is Gianna, but to her, Gigi suits her much better; she has tried to switch and it has never stuck. Gigi plays varsity soccer for the high school and also plays for a local club team: Midwest United. Likely, all of Gigi's peers would claim her imminent ability to speak endlessly either her greatest attribute or flaw, she supposes's they can both be true. In her free time, Gigi enjoys hanging out with friends, playing with the love of her life, Leo a four-year-old German Shepherd, and the highlight of her fall season is dressing up and attending football games on Friday nights. Her personal favorite theme is 'Pink Out.' She finds it absolutely unbeatable. Gigi's favorite pieces to write are editorials about things she is passionate about.

Science vs. religion. How does this impede on education?

School exists to teach science, not religion, and evolution is just that

November 21, 2022

In my 9th-grade biology class at FHC, we studied evolution. We examined specific species closely as well as humans and learned how natural selection and an organism's overall fitness aided in its survival....

I, for one, lost my fair share of games.

Everybody can’t be a winner, and it’s important for kids to understand that

November 10, 2022

I can’t begin to account for all of the times I have faked exasperation for the sake of a little kid.  They challenge me to a race and then take off. Their tiny, uncoordinated legs flail, and I make...

Winter style varies among FHC’s most fashionable

November 7, 2022

While this fall has lasted longer than Michiganders may have been expecting, it is inevitable the season steps down soon and winter replaces it; with this, it brings an entirely new line of fashion. For...

The social norms of fashion

A problem only exists when it’s trending

October 24, 2022

To any avid social media user, it is not an unusual occurrence to see a specific post or issue to trend for some time. Regularly, it consumes most people's stories, and then after we have all seen it,...

News and broadcasting make it difficult for women to be more than a pretty face

I live and breathe for these must-read books

October 17, 2022

Throughout my life, I periodically became what I suppose you could refer to as a reader.  I was never the child to cast reading aside as irrelevant or old-world. Many primitive hobbies tend to trend,...

Rangers of Honor do much more then provide organization to FHC’s assemblies
