Boys swim and dive place second in the West Michigan Relays with a final score of 320

Boys swim and dive swam in the West Michigan Relays this past Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the divers competed in the first event and on Saturday the swimmers swam in the second event. After two tiring days, the Rangers were able to place second out of 14 schools. They were defeated by Holland West Ottawa 368-320.

FHC only placed first in one out of the eleven events, winning the 200 yard Butterfly relay. Sophomore C.J. Hier and junior Charlie Krug were a huge asset to the relay. Not only did that relay place, but FHC had three other second place finishes. The relay wasn’t the only thing those two placed in. C.J. placed second in the 200 yard Backstroke and Charlie placed second in the 400 yard Freestyle relay. Senior Matt Wilson was also part of this relay. Not only did he place in the relay, but he also placed second in the 200 yard Medley. The divers performed at the meet, placing fourth all overall.

Coming out of the meet, FHC was proud. They had beat their biggest rival: East Grand Rapids. EGR placed fourth in the meet with a total of 272 points. FHC had beat EGR by 52 points. Boys swim and dive will not be swimming until Wednesday, Dec 27th.
