The boys varsity tennis team had its best performance of the year so far, dominating Byron Center, Grosse Pointe North, and Jenison. At the end of the day, FHC had a total of 21 points while Byron Center had three and the other two teams had zero.

The Rangers swept through their opponents from Grosse Pointe North and Jenison with ease. One singles senior Nick Sjolin was undefeated on the day, along with the one doubles pairing of junior Jeremy James and Ali Azeem. Both played outstanding games and came up big for the Rangers as their lead kept rising.

Also undefeated on the day were all of the doubles. The junior package of Nick Stockenhaur and Ben Koning dominated their opponents and had a very impressive day, as they have had all season. The singles, however, lost to the opponents from Byron Center with the exception of Nick Sjolin.

At the end of the day, the Rangers swept their opponents until it came to Byron, whom they still beat 5-3. Overall, it was a big win for FHC and they will be back on Friday, August 23 for a quad at Okemos.
