Boys varsity tennis played against Cedar Springs under some very odd circumstances and defeated them 8-0.

The peculiar thing about this game was how the Rangers had many of their top players gone, which resulted in a change in their flights. Instead of senior Nick Sjolin, freshman Sammy Yin took over the spot of one singles and was undefeated on the day. In fact, all of the boys for the Rangers ran the Red Hawks in two matches.

Two singles for the Rangers was junior Chris Battiste who is used to doubles but showed that he can do both by finishing 2-0 as well. Sophomores Cully Herbert and Walker Sjolin were both moved up to one singles and also went undefeated.

FHC faces off next against Ottawa Hills on Wednesday, September 18 and is looking for some big wins to place in a higher seed.
