Maddie Yob, Staff Writer

Maddie is entering her second year on staff, as a staff writer. This past year, Maddie primarily focused on layout and photoshop. She was the captain of the equestrian team and also participates in 4-H, and the girls varsity basketball team. She currently volunteers at a summer camp called Branch Adventures and is an active member in the Kent County Horse Leadership Board. Maddie got involved with journalism her sophomore year and has enjoyed participating and getting to know all of the amazing staff members.

  • Favorite type of story to write: Columns/Profiles
  • Extracurriculars/Sports: Varsity basketball, Equestrian team, 4H
  • Hobbies/Interests: reading, running, horses
  • Favorite book and why: Along For the Ride, a very interesting book with complicated plot. It also teaches very valuable lessons that can be used in everyday life.
  • If it is Friday night, you will most likely find Maddie: at a sporting event or hanging out with friends
