Boys freshman basketball wins second consecutive game against Lowell

The freshman boys basketball team continues to dominate, as it won its second game against Lowell this season. The Rangers did not struggle in this game to complete their tasks and won convincingly with a final score of 54-26. The starters came out strong and gave the Rangers a steady lead, which allowed everyone to take a chance on the court.

In the first half, the Rangers focused on locking down defensively so that they could grab rebounds for their offensive plays. At first, it did not work and the Rangers were tied with the Red Arrows with three minutes left in the first quarter. Throughout those three minutes, however, the boys ran the ball and ended the first quarter up 16-4. The big runs in the first quarter hyped them up to end the first half up 35-10.

In the second half, the Rangers had no issues putting up points. Several blocks and major rebounds helped the Rangers dominate and control the rest of the game. In the third quarter, the Rangers were up by 30 points which helped them secure the final 54-26 victory.

Looking ahead, the Rangers will take on Northern on Thursday and plan to add to their 14-3 record.
