“I love going to India. My family tries to go every year, and recently, we have tried to go during the same time that my cousin goes to India. My favorite part about going is getting a chance to meet my extended family. When we go, they will try to talk to my cousin and me in Malayalam, the native language of Kerala, and will tell us stories about when they were young. I really, really enjoy hearing about my family’s history; it’s really interesting.”
